Dreamy Engagement
I have to be honest, I may have tried to get this future bride and groom to reschedule this beautiful, moody engagement session. As a photographer I heard rain, cold, fog and my vision of warm, sunsets and vibrant colors faded away. How am I going to shoot in this weather? Katie and Sam live in Boone NC and had made the trip to their beautiful venue for a final meeting and we knew we had to make it work! That we did. The indoor shots turned out more beautiful then I could have imagined. The lights and shadows created the moody, emotional look that I loved for this couple. To end the session Katie and Sam grabbed a umbrella and out they went climbing the highest hill in the field, yes in 30 degree weather and rain! They may have been shivering but the connection and love between them is obvious in the images I was able to capture in the less then ideal weather were worth it! The fog and clouds I am now so thankful for as it created a private universe for them to have just a few moments together laughing and soaking it all in. I can’t wait to shoot their upcoming wedding in whatever conditions are thrown at us!
